Kerala - God's own country4.5
Kerala is South India's most serenely beautiful state. This graceful shoreside displays its elucidate landscape which outlines more than 600 km of the splendid Arabian sea, a delicate network of sparkling backwaters, the spice and tea-covered hills of the Western Ghats, dotted with fiercely protected wildlife reserves and cool hill stations such as Munnar. Kerala is a world away from the frenzy of India's elsewhere, its long, fascinating backstory illuminated by historically evocative cities like Kochi (Cochin) and Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum).
Apart from the prominent backwaters, Kerala showcases its artistic houseboats, ayurvedic treatments and delectable cuisine. Besides this, Kerala is home for its giant elephants, variety of birds and wild tigers. Vibrant heritage of Kerala includes its traditional Kathakali, theyyam, temple festivals and snake-boat races frequently bring even the smallest villages to life.
